By River ; (Yadkin) use the Yadkin River Trail Access map and start from
the natural patio.
By Land; Drive up to the Arbor and park. Trail starts on the left of the
Arbor. Start your descent toward the river. At first an easy walk, then 72
steps to the caves. Have fun exploring the caves. Going on down 17 steps
more you can play on a "natural patio" at the rivers edge. Back up to the
path by the old rock steps, continue from here 30 paces westward. Then take
the left most path for 16 paces - stop. Look 100 degrees to a living,
leaning, beech tree that you can see through - there at its base you will
find the Boone's Cave letterbox.
